Finally your website is up and running on the internet. Now lets concentrate on very important part, for which we prepared website, and that is how to make money from your website.
It is the part of Google and everybody knows Google, so there is no need to mention about Google. Let’s see what its Adsense is.

What is Google Adsense?
Google have advertisers who pay them to advertise there products and services and Google advertise their products on different websites in the form of “Adsense ads”. In other words Google Adsense is nothing but ads which Google advertises on all type of websites and pays to website owners when someone clicks on there ads.
So in short it doesn’t matter what type of website you prepare, Google have Adsense (ads)
for all type of websites.

Google Search Box
In addition to above ads you can also insert Google search box.
When someone searches through Google search box placed on your website and clicks on sponsored ads appearing on extreme top and bottom on page, marked with blue border, then you will earn for each click.

Details of all Adsense Ads
As it is clear from above paragraph that you can insert
i) Ad unit
ii) Link unit and
iii) Google search Box on each page of your website.
So let’s see them in detail how to implement it practically.
i) Adsense Ad Unit - Initial we start inserting Ad unit and in later section will learn how to add Ad link unit
So let’s start -
To create and get Google Adsense Ad code you have to login to www.google.com/adsense and click on “Setup tab” as shown in below image with blue circle.

You have three Ad format to select.
If you select text and image Ads then you will get image ads as well as text ads on your website, if you select only text ad then you will get only text ads and finally if you select image ads then only image ads
will appear on your website.
Unless and until you have any special reason to select other format lets select “Text Ads only” and click on continue and you will land up on screen as which looks like as shown below. As you can see you can select Ad size/formatting and coloring.
Ad Formatting- You have different Ad size to select. You can select which ever you want to insert on your website and at the same time you have different colors to choose for your ads. Google says to insert Big
Ad size and Ad color matching your content font color. At the same time you can preview and check the Ad looks by clicking on “Preview this Adsense unit” tab located at the bottom of the page.

After finalizing the Ad size and color you can click on “Continue”.
The next page is to create “channels”

Adsense Channel
Channel creation is option; you may also quit this and move to next step.
But this is advisable to select channels so that you can track and alter the Ads depending on there performance it means on which Ad more clicks are happening and on which Ad less.
If you are interested then continue to read below paragraph to implement it.
• Adsense Channels means you can provide different names to your ad units to monitor which unit is doing
   well and which is not, so that you can change the locations of ads and try getting more clicks.

   look like, so by providing channel name you will come to know on which channel (Ad unit) maximum clicks
   are happening and where not, you will get all these details in overview Section of reports, so after analyzing
   you can change the format, colors, location and see how can you maximize the clicks on the
   ads and generate more revenue.

• To take it further you can click on add new channel and enter the channel name.
   To make it easy you can name it like “Left Hand Ad” or “Right Hand Ad” or “Bottom Hand Ad” and so on.
   After entering the channel name, that channel name will appear in “All channel” sections, where you will
   see all channel you have created. Then you can click ‘add’ tab next to your channel name and it will get
   selected and appear under “Your selected channels” category.

• After selecting your channel name click on continue. This is the last step of getting code which you have
   to insert on your webpage’s. After clicking on continue you will see the page where you have to choose
   the name.
   Note - Give name to your adsense unit so that in future it’s easy to make updates or any changes in your
   adsense unit. For example, if you have created webpage on types of cell phones, you can give name as
   Cellphones_types_rightads_300x250.
   Cellphones_types_leftads_728x90.
   And finally when you click on “Save and Get Ad Code” you will get code which you have to copy and insert
   on your respective webpage’s.

ii) Adsense Link Unit -
     In the first session we saw how to insert Ad content unit. Now we will see how to insert Ad link unit.
     You can see below image how Link ad unit appears on website.
     Ad link unit displays a list of words that are relevant to the content of your website, when visitors to
     your website clicks on any word/term from link unit ad then a separate page of related ads will get
     displaced and you will get paid if visitor click on those ads.
     Please Note - You will not get paid if visitor clicks on word/term from Ad link unit.
     You will get paid only when visitor clicks on Ads appearing on separate page which get displaced after
     clicking on word/term from Ad link unit.
     To insert Ad link code on your webpage you have to go to link unit section which is available in
     “Adsense setup” tab and then click on “Adsense Content” and then select “Link unit” option as shown
     in below image marked with blue circle and click “Continue”

You can choose Link ad unit size whether you want horizontal or square and how many ads per unit. You can select different colors to match your webpage font color and content. You can see how your link unit ad looks by clicking on “Preview Adsense unit” at the bottom, and then after finalizing your Ad link unit you can click on ‘Continue’ tab.
After this step all steps are same that you followed while creating Adsense Ad unit in previous section.
Those steps are Channel creating and adding and finally getting code.

Please Note - According to Google you can insert only 3 ad units and 3 link units on single webpage and also you can insert Google search box (which is already discussed in above paragraph)

Google search Box
We will start looking for third mode of earning from Google. We will see how to insert Google search Box on your webpages.
You have to go to “Adsense Setup” and click on “Adsense for Search” as shown in below picture with blue circle.
